Koja’s new intelligent eFAN condition monitoring solution helps monitor the condition of industrial fans, plan maintenance activities, and identify potential deviations at an early stage. The aim of the solution is to improve operational reliability, reduce downtime, support safe operation, and extend equipment lifetime.
The first fans equipped with eFAN condition monitoring and carbon fiber impellers were delivered to a customer in the United States during the summer. These deliveries mark a significant milestone in the development of the solution, which has been underway at Koja for several years.
Mikko Lahtinen, Product Development Manager, has been involved in the development of eFAN from the very beginning.
“With integrated sensors built into the fan, eFAN provides valuable insights into the condition of the equipment. The solution helps determine when components need replacement and enables cost-effective root cause analysis of potential failures,” says Lahtinen.
eFAN helps transform fan data into actionable insights that support maintenance activities. Continuous monitoring provides customers with better visibility into critical fan functions and supports data-driven maintenance planning.
The solution has also been designed for easy implementation. A single-cable setup combined with one Modbus TCP connection simplifies installation and reduces cabling requirements.
eFAN is available in three versions: Basic, Pro, and Premium. The different package options enable the solution to be tailored to a wide range of applications and customer requirements.
The long-term goal is for eFAN to become a standard part of every Koja industrial fan delivery.
The completion of eFAN is the result of a collective effort. A large group of experts from across the organization participated in the development, testing, productization, and preparation of the first deliveries.
