Wave Wins FinnBuild Highlights Vote - Audience Favorite Paving the Way for Sustainable Construction
Wave became the audience favorite in the FinnBuild event's Highlights vote. The competition's products set the direction towards a more responsible and sustainable construction and building technology industry. The first place was shared in a historic tie between Wave Solution and Rebevolt Oy’s e-Generaattori.
Wave is a joint innovation by Koja and Chiller, which significantly reduces the carbon footprint of buildings while also enhancing productivity.

We humbly accept this award. From here, we continue our journey toward a more sustainable built environment," says Taneli Timlin, Koja's Chief Technology Officer.
The competition featured eight Highlights products selected by a professional jury from a record number of applications. The audience voted for their favorite at the FinnBuild event, held in celebration of its 50th anniversary at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from October 8-10, 2024.
Wave Solution
Wave simultaneously reduces a building's carbon footprint and increases productivity. Wave has been developed to minimize energy consumption and optimize the building's energy flows by recycling and storing internal energy streams. The solution reduces the amount of purchased energy by up to 70%.
Wave consists of three parts: Selector, System, and Evidencer. The Selector is used to set the target level for energy efficiency and indoor air quality and to define the technical System. The Evidencer ensures that the target level is achieved.
Energy efficiency is made possible by the energy station, which functions as the heart of the system, dynamically responding to changes in utilization rates, and by collecting data on indoor air quality through localized units.
