Koja moves performance claims towards independent verification
Koja Ltd. has launched the Eurovent certification process as part of its strategy to grow and succeed in international export markets. Although the certification is voluntary, in many markets it is effectively a prerequisite for product comparability and market acceptance.
Eurovent certification is based on independent testing and audits. The aim of the process is to verify that the declared performance corresponds to real world operation and is comparable with other certified products.
Koja’s own testing forms the foundation of performance verification
Koja’s R&D Center is a product development and testing laboratory where products are tested not only under standardized conditions but also in real operating environments. Air handling units, systems, and components undergo extensive testing already during the product development phase. Due to the wide range of product variations, in house testing is essential for a manufacturer and will remain a permanent part of Koja’s operations going forward.
The Eurovent process does not replace Koja’s own testing but rather complements it by adding an independent, internationally recognised layer of verification.
Joonas Lius, member of the Eurovent Board
Joonas Lius, Business Director of Koja Group’s Buildings business area, has served as a member of the Eurovent Board since 2024. In this role, he has been actively involved in promoting European performance verification practices and the development of common industry standards.
“Through Eurovent’s work, one can clearly see how crucial independently verified information is in international markets. That is why we are now bringing Koja’s products into the certification process,” says Joonas Lius.
