This is the first event of its kind for Koja Group, aiming to strengthen collaboration with educational institutions. The Koja Group Hackathon challenges participants to develop a creative solution to a given problem within a limited time. Teams consist of 2–6 members, ideally bringing together diverse expertise from different fields of study.

The event will take place in Tampere on April 9, 2025, at Koja’s R&D Center, a product development and testing facility that perfectly suits the innovation-driven nature of the hackathon.

The general theme of the challenge is announced in advance, but detailed instructions will be provided on the event day when the competition begins. Given the increasing importance of browser-based tools and cloud solutions for Koja Group’s future, the hackathon challenge will focus on creating 3D models of sheet metal products in a web-based environment.

Participants must be adult students in Finland. There are no restrictions on the field of study, but the challenge is particularly suited for coders interested in 3D modeling and design software, as well as engineering students in mechanical, civil, and automation fields with an interest in programming.

More details about the event and registration can be found on the Koja Group Hackathon event page. The registration is open until March 20, 2025.
